In this role, you will manage and grow the branch's book of business while cultivating strong relationships with clients and partners, supervising a team, and contributing to the overall success of the branch.

Responsibilities

Supervising a team of direct reports, ensuring they achieve their goals while also contributing to their development

Work closely with the branch leadership to make key decisions on performance management, providing feedback and guidance on how to excel in the business

Train and mentor your team

Assist in the overall management of the branch’s book of business, balancing both strategic growth and risk management

Involved in underwriting, where your keen eye for detail will help you make informed decisions on all types of bonds, including contract bonds

Assess and minimize losses, while accepting or rejecting bonds appropriately

Engaging with agencies to secure new business or tactfully managing delicate situations where bonds may need to be rejected

Keeping current with industry trends

Travel as part of the job as you visit agencies, attend industry events, and meet potential business partners

Manage a large territory and connect with clients in person

Required

Bachelor's degree

At least five years of progressively responsible managerial experience in underwriting, production, and marketing within the fidelity and surety industry
