Analyst II Application Development - Epic Optime and Anesthesia

The Optime/Anesthesia Analyst II is responsible for maintaining expertise in software and technologies to support perioperative services, conducting workflow analysis, and collaborating with various stakeholders to optimize system solutions.

Responsibilities
Build, test, deploy, and support the Epic Optime and Anesthesia applications
Collaborate with perioperative and anesthesia teams to design, optimize, and document workflows
Conduct current-state workflow assessments and develop improved future-state processes
Manage and prioritize system change requests, coordinating with end-users as needed
Monitor application health and follow ITIL-based change management processes
Document support activities and resolve tickets within defined service levels
Create, maintain, and review test scripts aligned with clinical workflows
Prepare process documentation and share knowledge with team members
Coordinate with the training team to support user adoption and education
Analyze business needs and collaborate with Epic, end users, and internal stakeholders to ensure the system meets organizational goals
Review software releases and enhancements; test and communicate impacts
Maintain certifications and stay current on platform updates and tools
Support and maintain related third-party systems
Provide on-site support during go-lives and upgrades
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule
Demonstrate flexibility and professionalism; adapt to changing priorities and maintain satisfactory attendance
Qualification
Required
Epic Optime Certification
Epic Anesthesia Certification
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
2+ years of IT implementation and/or support experience
At least one year related application experience
BA/BS degree
Self-motivated, detail-oriented and pragmatic; a team player who is analytical and solution-focused
Excellent oral, written and non-verbal communication skills
Ability to forge and maintain strong professional relationships
Proficiency with MS Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Preferred
At least one year of application experience
Healthcare experience desirable
Advanced degree, Masters, or Clinical Certification
Clinical licensure
Project Management certification
Knowledge of Capsule Smartlinx
Experience with Steris SPM
Proficiency with MS Visio, Teams, SharePoint, OneNote, Monday.com
3+ years working in a healthcare environment with physicians, surgeons or clinical staff
