ELECTRICAL FIELD ENGINEER

They are seeking a seasoned Field Engineer with a strong background in electrical construction to oversee complex projects, ensuring adherence to specifications and codes while coordinating between various teams.

Responsibilities
Partner with Project Managers to achieve strategic milestones, stay within budget, and meet tight deadlines
Monitor construction progress to ensure adherence to contract specifications and schedules
Collaborate with field supervisors and subcontractors to resolve technical challenges and maintain productivity
Prepare and review control estimates, installation drawings, and layout plans
Interpret and ensure adherence to engineering designs, detail sheets, and technical specifications
Lead resolution of field construction issues, discrepancies, or design interferences
Coordinate all control & instrumentation with equipment and other trades
Establish and verify grades, working lines, and layout for contractors and field teams
Coordinate vendor shop drawings with field conditions and project drawings across all trades
Attend and contribute to coordination meetings to ensure cross-disciplinary alignment
Perform site surveys to validate field conditions and provide accurate documentation
Maintain and update current drawing sets, RFIs, change orders, and as-built documentation
Prepare and manage material requisitions for critical field procurement
Quality control field inspections
Ensure labor reporting, timecard accuracy, and correct cost code use across teams
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3+ years of experience in electrical construction, with a proven track record on large-scale water infrastructure projects ($1M+)
In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and construction standards
Proficiency in CAD and field engineering applications
Demonstrated ability to interface with contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams
Preferred
Water works Controls and Instrumentation
B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field or equal
Previous hands-on experience as a licensed Journeyman, Foreman, Superintendent, or Field Engineer
Experience managing multi-trade coordination on fast-paced, complex projects
