Consulting Pension Actuary
Responsibilities
Oversee and enhance processes related to pension valuation and reporting
Perform technical reviews of actuarial deliverables to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance
Lead the preparation of client-facing materials, ensuring clarity, professionalism, and consistency
Coordinate project timelines, manage client expectations, and track milestones
Provide strategic advice on plan design, funding, compliance, and forecasting
Conduct in-depth actuarial analysis and scenario modeling for complex benefit structures
Stay current on evolving regulations and industry best practices, sharing insights with the team
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in pension consulting, preferably with multiemployer plans
Credentialed actuary (EA, ASA, or FSA strongly preferred)
Strong organizational and project management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting
Preferred
Familiarity with actuarial modeling software such as ProVal is a plus
