Start in 2026 SummerFishbeck is one of the premier professional consulting firms in the nation, and they are seeking a Health & Safety Intern for Summer 2026. The intern will gain hands-on experience in risk management, safety policy development, and compliance monitoring while collaborating with experienced safety professionals to strengthen the culture of safety within the organization.

Responsibilities
Review and revise health and safety policies to ensure they meet current standards
Assist in organizing training sessions and developing standardized materials, including departmental and new employee orientation presentations
Follow up on health and safety action plan items to ensure compliance
Support vendor management and organization
Participate in health and safety site audits to assess safety conditions and regulatory adherence
Standardize emergency equipment across offices for consistency
Attend safety committee meetings and contribute to safety program discussions
Assist in incident investigations, if applicable
Collect and manage departmental health and safety data, including equipment inventory
Input information into the safety management system
Participate in Safety Month activities and other company intern programs
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
