Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of employee benefits programs, including self-funded medical plans, captive participation, renewals, compliance, and service plans
Lead the annual captive renewal process, including claims analysis, performance review, trend evaluation, and client presentations
Serve as a trusted advisor for hospital leadership teams and HR/Finance stakeholders
Build and strengthen relationships with clients, carriers, partners, and internal teams
Lead client meetings with C-Suite executives (virtual and in-person), articulating strategic options, renewal outcomes, and action plans with clarity and confidence
Identify challenges, opportunities, and process improvements for clients and internal operations
Maintain clean and accurate documentation within our agency management system
Collaborate with sales and consulting teams on retention, cross-selling, and new business pursuits
Monitor regulatory changes and translate compliance requirements for clients

Required

5 years of licensed Employee Benefits account management experience within a broker or consulting environment
Deep expertise in self-funded plans, captive arrangements, and renewal strategy
Strong understanding of medical and ancillary products, carriers, and market dynamics
Excellent presentation and communication skills, especially in client-facing renewal discussions
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and agency management systems
Ability to manage multiple priorities with integrity, initiative, and attention to detail
A passion for learning, professional growth, and delivering exceptional service
Must hold active Life and Health license in Texas
