Responsibilities
Assume responsibility, under supervision, for small accounting engagements involving maintenance of a client’s accounting system
Prepare financial statements on various basis of accounting (including income tax basis)
Prepare payroll checks and necessary payroll tax reports
Work with third party vendors to complete work on a timely basis and review for obvious errors
Understanding of the Firm’s practices, policies, procedures, and culture
Have a working knowledge of local tax laws, payroll laws, and state sales tax laws
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2+ years experience at a public accounting firm performing preparation of financial statements on various basis of accounting
Ability to maintain a manual and computerized bookkeeping system
Ability to maintain an accounts receivable and accounts payable subsidiary ledger system
General computer operations - QuickBooks, data input, and processing
Must maintain strict client confidentiality
High level of intelligence, integrity, honesty, motivation, and aptitude for the profession
