Senior Program Manager for Surface Ship Modernization
Reliability & Performance Technologies (R&P) is a small-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. They are seeking an experienced Program Manager for surface ship modernization to lead high priority programs for the U.S. Navy, ensuring successful execution and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
In collaboration with the R&P Executive Team, contribute to achieving company goals and objectives
Continually engage with existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction and future orders
Provide SEA 21 PMS 451/421 Program Office with coordination of daily execution and long-term execution of processes, procedures and reports defined within the scope of the contract
Supervise and direct staff on a daily basis
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of large surface combatant modernization and sustainment cost, schedule and performance objectives and thresholds
Formulate visions, strategies, and plans to achieve program success and deliver required capabilities, on time and within budget
Perform programmatic analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, conclusions, findings, and recommendations
Develop reports, briefs, and presentations for executive level meetings and events
Provide senior strategic planning and communications support, developing Congressional and Flag Level communication plans in direct support of the PMS 451/421
Initiate and implement execution initiatives, projects and financial plans and products that can be leveraged to support PMS 451/421 program goals and objectives
Participate in regular program management reviews and ensure contractual, financial, and technical progress and issues are addressed
Responsible for managing budget resources across various projects
Provides resolutions to conflict or discipline related issues with personnel supporting the Program Office on the contract
Coordinates projects with interdependence between various disciplines within the contract
Ensures deliverables are aligned across projects within the contract
Ensures that positions are filled with properly trained and fully qualified personnel
Develop and continuously maintain a business development network
In coordination with the Business Development Director, collaborate, schedule and conduct business development meetings with potential new customers
Qualification
Required
A minimum of 20 years of experience is required
A minimum of 15-years of experience in U.S. Navy shipbuilding and/or ship repair and modernization is required
Experience and familiarization with Arleigh Burke Class Destroyers is required
Experience and familiarization with U.S. Navy surface combatant modernization processes is required
Active Secret Clearance or eligible to obtain Secret Clearance is required
Preferred
Master's degree is preferred
Major Program Management (MPM) experience (PM or DPM) in surface combatant ship acquisition is preferred
