National Office Tax Manager or Senior Manager - Tax Controversy
Weaver is a full-service national accounting, advisory and consulting firm seeking a Manager or Senior Manager specialized in tax controversy to join their National Tax Office team. This role involves representing individuals and businesses in tax disputes, developing resolution strategies, and managing teams while contributing to business development and firm administration activities.

Responsibilities
Developing strategies for successful resolutions at all stages of controversy from penalty abatement, exams, appeals, and collections
Managing multiple matters and effectively interpreting tax laws to develop supporting positions
Preparing written responses to taxing authorities
Working closely with firm leadership and playing a key role in business development, firm administration activities, and development/management of teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
CPA or JD
5 + years of tax controversy experience
Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop staff
Preferred
Master's degree in Accounting
Strong relationship management and practice development skills
Ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients
