The role involves exploring how systemic metabolism and nutritional status affect tumor cells, utilizing advanced technologies to conduct research and mentor students.

Responsibilities
Work independently and collaboratively for the mission of the lab
Design and execute experiments; analyze and interpret data
Regularly present findings to the lab and at Moffitt-sponsored seminar series and symposia
Attend conferences to present findings to the broader scientific community
Mentor and train graduate and undergraduate students
Write manuscripts, postdoctoral fellowships, and assist with other funding applications
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in biology, biochemistry, biophysics, molecular biology, or a related field
At least one first-author publication or preprint
Preferred
Candidates with research experience in metabolism and/or mitochondrial biology
Practical experience with mass spectroscopy-based proteomics or metabolomics
Experience with mouse models of cancer
Can think independently and has a strong desire to develop independent projects
Has excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
