Adult High School Project Director (Grant Funded)

NEOGOV is seeking an Adult High School Project Director to lead the design, implementation, and management of an online Adult High School diploma program through a regional consortium. The role involves program management, collaboration with partner colleges, student recruitment, data analysis, and ensuring student support across multiple campuses.

Responsibilities

Develop and operate a centralized program hub for the consortium to manage student access, enrolment and academic process
Coordinate the hiring, training, and supervision of instructional and supporting staff
Ensure consistent, high-quality program implementation across the three colleges
Serve as the liaison among Halifax, Martin, and Roanoke-Chowan Community Colleges, and LEA’s and the NC Community College System office
Align program operations with WIOA Title II regulations and adult education best practices
Lead biweekly (or as-needed) meetings with partner colleges to ensure alignment effective communication
Facilitate the completion and renewal of Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with all participating LEAs
Represent the pilot program on the Adult High School Advisory Board and maintain ongoing communication with the system office teams
Coordinate outreach campaigns across all service areas in partnerships with participating colleges
Support each college’s efforts to recruit and enroll students in the online AHS program
Maintain consistency in messaging and outreach materials across the region
Collect and analyze program data including student enrollment progress, testing, and diploma completion
Prepare and submit all required reports, including mid-year updates and a final comprehensive project report
Collaborate with college and system office staff to evaluate and improve program effectiveness
Oversee the administration of required pre-and post-tests
Support strategies that help students transition from the AHS program to workforce or postsecondary pathways
Ensure the academic support services are coordinated across all partner institutions

Required

Bachelor's degree in Education, Administration, Counseling, or a related field
At least 3 years of experience in adult education, high school completion program, or educational project management
Experience with WIOA Title II-funded programs or similar federal/state grant initiatives
Excellent leadership, organizational, and project coordination skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, including experience leading cross-institutional collaborations
Ability to manage data, prepare reports, and use digital tools to support hybrid program delivery
Willingness to travel within the consortium's service area and to System Office meetings

Preferred

Master's degree preferred
Experience working in a community college or with rural education initiatives
Familiarity with North Carolina Tier I county demographics and educational challenges
Knowledge of online learning platforms and instructional technologies for adult learners
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
