AS/RS Technician II - 2nd Shift

Responsibilities
Independently perform preventative maintenance of the distribution center’s AS/RS and conveyor equipment
Perform routine scheduled work orders across logistics automation systems
Independently identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex logistics system failures
Serve as the primary contact with OEMs (Viastore and other sub-contractors) for system diagnostics and corrective actions
Document and manage the use of spare parts, ensuring appropriate inventory replenishment
Analyze and report on system performance metrics to support continuous improvement
Coordinate with sub-contractors for system upgrades, repairs, and performance enhancements
Provide training and guidance to warehouse team leaders and Technician I staff on system errors and routine troubleshooting
Maintain and update the preventative maintenance schedule in the facility’s CMMS software tool
Participate in logistics planning shift meetings and contribute to maintenance strategy discussions
Document detailed “history logs” in CMMS software to build a knowledge base for future reference
Perform general facilities maintenance tasks as time permits and as prioritized by the Facilities Manager
Adhere to all OSHA and company safety protocols during maintenance procedures
Follow environmental guidelines for the proper use and disposal of materials
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
3–5 years of experience in logistics automation or industrial maintenance, with at least 1–2 years in an ASRS Technician I or equivalent role
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and control diagrams
Strong understanding of automated systems, PLCs, and industrial controls
Demonstrated ability to lead troubleshooting efforts and mentor junior technicians
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CMMS software tools
Strong organizational and decision-making skills; ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment
Must be able to stand for 8 hours a day
Must be able to climb up to 50 feet
Must be able to lift 60 pounds
Must have a valid driver's license and be able to use own vehicle for local trips to Home Depot, etc. (with reimbursement)
Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and PRN overtime
Must be willing to support the facility maintenance team in a collaborative environment
Must be able to handle extreme temperatures
Must be able to drive for up to 2 hours
Must be able to speak and understand English to communicate verbally and in writing
