They are seeking a Student Radiologic Technologist who is enrolled in an accredited Rad Tech program to assist with a variety of patient care duties, including patient check-in, education, and support during exams and procedures.

Responsibilities

Perform a wide variety of routine duties including clerical, technical and patient related functions
Assist members of the patient care team
Provide a broad range of health care services such as patient check-in, preparation for the visit, patient education, assistance with exams and procedures, and patient transporting
Resolve conflict and endure the pressures associated with a constantly changing work environment
Assist with exams on adults, geriatric patients, adolescents, and pediatric age groups
Perform patient assessment within the scope of practice

Required

Enrolled in the second year of an accredited Radiologic Technology program & remains in good standing
Prior experience in healthcare or customer service
CPR certification within 3 months of hire
Knowledge of basic anatomy
Understanding of medical terminology
Patient care and effective communication and interpersonal skills
Basic Computer Skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize based on defined parameters
Ability to work independently & collaboratively
Ability to transport patients from carts, beds and wheelchairs
Ability to lift and position patients

Preferred

1-year relevant experience
Knowledge of day-to-day operations of a medical imaging department within a hospital setting
Knowledge of EPIC, RIS & PACs
