CIS Development & Communications Administrator
NEOGOV is seeking a CIS Development & Communications Administrator who will be a key member of the Communities In Schools (CIS) of Chesterfield leadership team. This role is responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive fundraising and communications strategy to support the mission of CIS, including securing multimillion-dollar annual revenue and managing internal and external communications.

Responsibilities
Designs and leads a comprehensive fundraising plan to generate annual revenue from individuals, foundations, corporations, government sources, and events
Oversees major donor cultivation stewardship and solicitation strategies, in partnership with CIS of Chesterfield leadership and the CIS Board of Directors
Designs and manages a Planned Giving Program to cultivate long-term donor support
Manages donor database, including segmentation, reporting, and maintenance
Plans and executes large annual fundraising events, ensuring strategic engagement of donors, sponsors, and community partners
Plans and executes 3 or more community-based fundraising and awareness events
Develops and manages mid-year and year-end giving campaigns and donor appeals
Oversees and serves as primary writer of grant applications and reports, in collaboration with program staff and Executive Director
Maintains systems for timely and accurate grant management and reporting to funders and stakeholders
Collaborates with Finance Manager to reconcile monthly donations and ensure accurate revenue tracking
Supervises and develops the Development & Communications Coordinator, supporting professional growth and performance
Provide strategic oversight to all donor communications and fundraising collateral
Identifies and engages diverse vendors for fundraising and community engagement events
Builds relationships with community stakeholders, business leaders, and philanthropic partners
Oversees the development and execution of consistent branding and messaging across platforms
Leads the creation of organizational storytelling, including success stories, impact reports, and donor spotlights
Oversees the design of marketing and outreach materials for both organizational and school-based use, including flyers, impact sheets, newsletters, and social media graphics
Manages website updates, digital campaigns, and social media presence to engage supporters and raise visibility
Ensures all communication materials align with the mission, voice, and visual identity of CIS of Chesterfield
Serves as the point of contact for media inquiries, press releases, and community announcements
Performs other duties as requested
Responsible for managing CIS of Chesterfield’s fundraising and marketing expenditures, as well as providing input on other spending efforts
Various reports related to fundraising and communication efforts, as requested
Makes frequent contacts both within and outside of CCPS, including all levels of CIS personnel, business leaders, community groups, and donors
Provides work direction to and supervises the CIS Development and Communications Coordinator
Performs majority of functions independently within established guidelines
May provide policy input on fundraising and communication efforts, as requested by the supervisor

Qualification
Required
Demonstrated ability to plan, promote, and lead small and large fundraising events
Demonstrated skills in social media marketing and in the creation/promotion of fundraising campaigns (online, print materials and through creative concepts)
Considerable knowledge of CIS of Chesterfield programming and a passion for helping students to succeed in school and in life
Demonstrated ability to listen and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and effectively with a governing board
Any combination of education and experience that would provide the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position
Applicants considered for employment must successfully complete the following background investigations/tests: Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Criminal History Investigation, State Police Criminal History Investigation, Child Protective Services (CPS) Investigation, Tuberculosis Screening/Test
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Education, Human Services, or a related field, with at least five years of progressively responsible experience in development with demonstrated success in large-scale fundraising
