Responsibilities
Underwrite complex commercial loans in accordance with Huntington credit policies
Monitor a portfolio of commercial loans, proactively identifying emerging risks and escalating concerns as appropriate, and maintaining accurate risk ratings
Portfolio administration, including management of delinquencies, collateral exceptions, borrowing base and covenant compliance, product renewals, etc., as applicable
As applicable, attend client calls (virtual or in-person) with Relationship Management and other Bank partners
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market/industry trends. Conduct industry and market research using numerous resources available
Assist with training and/or mentoring Analyst & Associate level colleagues
Review and negotiate credit documentation in consultation with legal counsel
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree required (Finance, Accounting, or related field)
5+ years of experience in an underwriting in a commercial banking environment
Preferred
High level of professionalism and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (particularly Microsoft Excel)
Formal credit training
Experience in the syndicated loan market
Proficiency in S&P Capital IQ
