Post Doctoral Researcher, Center for Neutron Science (NIST)
The University of Delaware is seeking a Post Doctoral Researcher for the Center for Neutron Science, collaborating with Prof. Norman Wagner and NIST scientists. The role involves conducting scientific research on polymer nanocomposites and supervising undergraduate researchers while utilizing various experimental characterization techniques.

Responsibilities
Conduct scientific research utilizing a range of experimental characterization techniques with the focus on Neutron Spin Echo and allied neutron scattering methods. This can involve travel to beamline facilities other than NIST
Supervise undergraduate researcher(s)
Complete data acquisition manuals and technical reports with the guidance of the PI and instrument scientists
Responsible for data management, analysis, and presentation of results to sponsors and at relevant scientific conferences
Assist in the design, execution, and analysis of NSE experiments at the NCNR
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in a related field such as engineering, materials science, physics, or chemistry is required
Expertise in one or more of the following experimental techniques, particularly in relation to soft matter: neutron, x-ray and/or light scattering, x-ray scattering
Experience in laboratory methods of physical property characterization techniques, designing experiments and handling of chemicals and polymer materials
