Account Executive

Responsibilities
Identify and grow new revenue streams through proactive prospecting, networking, and creative problem-solving
Consult with businesses to uncover needs, deliver tailored proposals, and close High-Value deals
Leverage TEGNA’s expansive portfolio to upsell current clients with strategic, full-funnel solutions
Develop and manage cross-platform campaigns in collaboration with an experienced Account Management team
Stay ahead of market trends, consumer behavior, and digital innovations to keep clients informed and inspired
Build meaningful relationships in your community and represent TEGNA at local events
Use CRM tools (Matrix, Salesforce, etc.) to manage your sales pipeline, forecast performance, and stay organized
Qualification
Required
3–5 years of experience in media sales, business development, or strategic marketing consulting
A digital-first mindset and a track record of exceeding revenue goals through innovative sales strategies
Deep understanding of integrated media, including OTT, broadcast, and digital, with an emphasis on leveraging streaming platforms for impactful marketing solutions
Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and an ability to juggle multiple priorities with ease
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, can-do attitude
Creative, consultative approach to solving client challenges
Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and drive to succeed
