Responsibilities
Solve business problems using data science methods and tools, including machine learning
Drive the creation and adoption of innovative data science and analytics solutions across the organization
Maintain thought leadership on emerging trends in data science, business intelligence, and advanced analytics
Educate and mentor teams across the organization on data science and analytics tools and best practices
Prototype, architect, and build predictive models for use in advanced forecasting
Apply statistical methods and quantitative analysis to real-world business problems
Serve as a senior data analyst on high-profile special projects as assigned
Partner closely with IT to provide insight with the data platform
Provides analytics support, researches issues, and participates on special projects
Ensures that all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of required compliance training
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualification
Required
Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, general business correspondence and/or journals or government regulations
Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial report and/or legal documents
Ability to effectively speak, respond to questions, and present information to the following: one-on-one /small groups, customers, employees, clients, managers, top management, board of directors, and the general public
4-year Degree in Computer Science, Physics, Machine Learning, Math, Bioinformatics, Engineering, or equivalent technical field
Four to six years of work experience delivering business insights and analytics solutions with experience in data management and architecture
5+ years of work experience in data science, machine learning, data engineering, or analytics roles
Advanced Excel
Advanced SQL
Advanced Python
Proficiency with common Python data science libraries (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn)
Knowledge of underlying mathematical foundations of statistics, machine learning, optimization, and analytics
Experience with version control systems such as Git
Proficient with machine learning techniques and algorithms (k-NN, SVM, DT, etc.)
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational, problem solving, and planning skills with the ability to set priorities
Preferred
Banking and/or financial experience a plus
General banking knowledge preferred
