The SCADA and Controls Engineer will support reliable operations by maintaining SCADA and Power Plant Controllers for solar power plants, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with cyber security requirements.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot issues with SCADA and Power Plant Controllers

Coordinate with SCADA integrators to implement changes or SCADA upgrades

Perform validation and quality control checks for new and existing SCADA systems

Supporting implementation of NERC CIP requirements, and other appropriate cyber security frameworks

Required

SCADA design and implementation. Experience specifically with Ignition! or GE Cimplicity preferred

Understanding and familiarity with solar and battery system logic for Power Plant Controller (PCC) functionality including Automatic Voltage Regulation and Frequency Response

Understanding and familiarity with solar Power Plant Controller functionality including Automatic Voltage Regulation and Frequency Response

Understanding of power plant operations and situational awareness needs for system operators

Proficiency with SEL RTAC configuration

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Bachelor's degree in a technical field

2+ years of relevant experience in SCADA or Industrial Automation and Control
