MillenniumSoft Inc is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the manufacturing team in meeting production schedules and ensuring high-quality products for clients. The role involves collaborating with logistics to create HTS codes and improving manufacturing processes through various support activities.

Responsibilities

Understand client Parata products and/or parts shipped and received internationally, which are used in manufacturing

Identify the required information for Customs classifications and gather information from BD Parata systems, websites and/or colleagues of cross functional departments such as engineering and R&D, among others

Implement and provide support for new product introductions and existing product changes that impact Manufacturing, using the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process and other tools

Provide manufacturing floor operations support to include:

Improve and maintain manufacturing process instructions (MPIs)

Support or lead Lean efforts to improve cell layout, replenishment, 5S, standard work, visual management, and quality at the source

Improve and maintain Kanban’s and other replenishment processes to ensure components are always available and properly accounted for

Maintain manufacturing bills of materials (BOMs) so that replenishment processes correctly account for parts usage in manufacturing

Support or lead manufactured product quality continuous improvement efforts

Perform other duties assigned to meet business needs

Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and part of a team

Ability to work closely with and provide work direction to others in high demand situations

Required

Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology or other related field of study. In lieu of degree, relevant experience acceptable

1-2 years of related work experience with BS degree

Excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work across a variety of departments

Multi-tasking and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks

Appreciation and awareness for Manufacturing demand and prioritization

Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Experience using SolidWorks, a plus

Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and part of a team

Ability to work closely with and provide work direction to others in high demand situations
