The Manufacturing Engineer will support the Manufacturing team to enable production schedules and ensure high-quality products, while also assisting the Logistics Team with HTS Codes for international products.

Responsibilities
Understand client Parata products and/or parts shipped and received internationally, which are used in manufacturing
Identify the required information for Customs classifications and gather information from client Parata systems, websites and/or colleagues of cross functional departments such as engineering and R&D, among others
Implement and provide support for new product introductions and existing product changes that impact Manufacturing, using the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process and other tools
Improve and maintain manufacturing process instructions (MPIs)
Support or lead Lean efforts to improve cell layout, replenishment, 5S, standard work, visual management, and quality at the source
Improve and maintain Kanban’s and other replenishment processes to ensure components are always available and properly accounted for
Maintain manufacturing bills of materials (BOMs) so that replenishment processes correctly account for parts usage in manufacturing
Support or lead manufactured product quality continuous improvement efforts
Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and part of a team
Ability to work closely with and provide work direction to others in high demand situations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology or other related field of study. In lieu of degree, relevant experience acceptable
1-2 years of related work experience with BS degree
Excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work across a variety of departments
Multi-tasking and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
Appreciation and awareness for Manufacturing demand and prioritization
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Preferred
Experience using SolidWorks, a plus
