Dock Office Coordinator - Yacht Club (Full-Time)

Sea Island Company is a prestigious yacht club that offers a unique experience for its guests. They are seeking a Dock Office Coordinator to manage the dock's operations, including retail sales and charter bookings, while ensuring compliance with company policies and providing excellent customer service.

Travel

Responsibilities

Open and close facility as needed
Maintain proper housekeeping on dock and office area
Supervise fishing equipment ensuring it is in proper working order
Answer incoming telephone calls
Assist in the scheduling of fishing trips and boating charters
Assist in monitoring overall inventory levels of merchandise and restock when needed
Assist with physical inventories
Ensure all merchandise is correctly tagged and priced
Assist in selling merchandise and customer service
Learn the names and personally recognize our regular Guests and Members
Assist with guest activities on the dock to provide an incomparable experience
Assist with daily retail sales
Record and bill orders accurately into the register system using guest/member cards
Run checkbook accounts, monitor payroll, and assist in forecasting revenue
Assist with daily close-out procedures and delivery of reports and cash to revenue control
Maintain a thorough knowledge of current guest services, activities, dining options, shops, local attractions, and historical information regarding Sea Island and the surrounding area to answer any questions guests may have to the best of one’s ability
If applicable, complete a Guest Problem Resolutions (GPR) form on any issues (solved or unsolved issues) and follow-up on issues as needed (if computer access is not available give information to admin support)
Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas
Uphold appropriate departmental standards of quality/timing
Uphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures
Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to supervisor immediately
Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement
Willing and timely execution of other duties as delegated by leadership

Required

Minimum one (1) year experience on the local waterways
Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficient in Windows XP and Microsoft Office software applications such as: Word, Excel, and Outlook
Proficient with peripherals, copier, fax, telephone, and calculator

Must be flexible to working early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in compliance with company Dress Code Policy
