They are seeking an Entry Level Civil/Environmental Engineer to join their ICE team to improve infrastructure in their Flint or Bay City office, focusing on site development projects and obtaining necessary approvals.

Responsibilities

Design various site development projects including commercial, institutional, and residential plans from concept through construction including the following: Site planning; Site grading; Site balancing; Storm water design; Horizontal and vertical design of underground utilities

Obtain jurisdictional approvals/permits

Prepare design reports and construction plans using local and state standards

Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities

Assist with/review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks

Monitor task budget and progress

Conduct on-site observations as needed

Maintain multiple project assignments

Verify field survey notes

Prepare project status and other reports

Assist Project Managers

Attend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc

Attend seminars and/or training classes

Maintain excellent client relations

Maintain a safe working environment

Qualification

Civil Engineering DegreeSite Development ExperienceAutoCAD Civil 3DFundamentals of Engineering ExamCommunication Skills

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

0 - 3 years of related experience in site development

Strong written and verbal communication/coordination skills

Preferred

Completion of Part I of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam

Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
