Senior END Technologist - Nights

They are seeking a motivated Senior END Technologist - Nights responsible for performing standard and complex EEG recordings, assisting in the training of students, and participating in research studies.

Responsibilities
Performs routine and complex EEG recordings in the adult and pediatric EMU. A technologist at this level should demonstrate a working knowledge on the complexities of EEG equipment and how it pertains to hospital networks as well as the best parameters to be used during recording EEG that will provide the most accurate information
Demonstrate proficiency in the standard department workflow in EPIC as well as the skills necessary to complete modification of orders, rescheduling and all functions in EPIC required to maintain Snapboard, scheduling and other duties as assigned
Demonstrates proficiency in maintaining daily inter-personal relationships and communication with clinical team regarding relevant patient information, patient care and scheduling
Keep equipment in clean operating condition. Perform maintenance and minor repair of laboratory equipment and report need for major repairs
Complete daily work flow tasks in EPIC, W-Ren folder, Neuro-productivity
Participate in conferences, technical meetings, and other educational activities
Complete annual Denver Health cornerstone training, participate in annual department competency, remain current in all relevant department competencies, maintain BLS certification, and follow Denver Health flu shot policy
Assist END Supervisor in program development and laboratory organization
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED required
1-3 years' experience as an END I required
EEG-Electroencephalogram Technician - ABRET - Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation required
BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association required
Is able to utilize ACNS guidelines and critical thinking skills to obtain a superior quality EEG recording
Employee has completed and met their clinical competency standards
Ensures all duties, responsibilities and competencies are conducted in a manner that is effective and appropriate to patients/clients to who care/service is being provided
Demonstrates knowledge and applicability of the principles of growth and development over the life span
Must be able to accurately describe the symptoms of malfunctioning equipment and have a basic knowledge of the software platforms and their functions used to record EEG
Demonstrate sound judgement and decision making regarding the utilization of help desk tickets
