NEOGOV is seeking full-time, seasonal extra-help IT Assistants to assist in the upcoming November 4, 2025, Special Election for the San Mateo County Registration & Elections Division. The role involves a variety of tech projects and tasks, including troubleshooting and providing technical support at Vote Centers throughout the county.

Responsibilities

Basic PC /printer /monitor troubleshooting
Facility Network Connectivity
Schedule site visits at fifteen (15) Vote Center sites with county network engineers
Bring networking hardware to site
Record data into excel spreadsheets from tests conducted by the network engineers
Vote Center Tech Support
Office Tech Support
Function test equipment used at Vote Centers (iPads, wireless printers, WIFI printers, etc.)
Visiting Vote Centers and report connection issues
Simple troubleshooting before escalating to network engineers
Troubleshooting equipment issues in the field

Required

Previous experience providing basic PC /tech troubleshooting support
Knowledge of and use of iPads and iPhones
Basic understanding of Wi-Fi networking

Troubleshoot issues with system configurations
Well-organized /detail oriented
Ability to explain issues clearly and follow instructions to meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills (email /verbal)
