The University of Florida is seeking a highly motivated and creative postdoctoral fellow to join the Bai lab, focusing on modeling human diseases in the nematode model Caenorhabditis elegans. The role involves contributing to projects related to disease genes, lipid metabolism, and mechanotransduction, requiring strong research skills and communication abilities.

Contribute to exciting projects centered around modeling human diseases in the nematode model Caenorhabditis elegans
Unravel the intricacies of disease genes associated with lipid droplet, lipid metabolism, development, germline development, and mechanotransduction
Communicate research findings and collaborate with colleagues
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. or equivalent degree in genetics, cell biology, developmental biology, bioinformatics, or a related field
A strong publication record demonstrating research productivity and showcasing the ability to independently design and conduct experiments is essential
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate research findings and collaborate with colleagues
Preferred
Proficiency in genetics, imaging, molecular biology techniques and experience in utilizing CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing methodologies are highly desirable
Prior experience working with C. elegans will be considered favorably
