Responsibilities

Lead the electrical design process for mission-critical projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and client requirements
Develop power distribution, grounding, UPS, emergency power, and redundancy strategies for data centers and other high-availability environments
Perform short-circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies to optimize electrical system reliability and safety
Collaborate closely with architectural, mechanical, and structural teams to integrate electrical systems into overall project design
Work with construction teams to ensure seamless execution, providing field support and resolving technical challenges
Manage client relationships, presenting technical solutions and ensuring alignment with operational goals
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of design standards and best practices
Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in the mission-critical industry, incorporating innovative solutions into projects

Required

BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET institution required
10+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering, with at least 3 years focused on mission-critical projects (data centers, high-tech manufacturing, etc.)
PE License is required to seal engineering documents, with the ability to attain licenses in multiple states
Proficiency in power system design, redundancy planning, and energy efficiency strategies for high-reliability facilities
Expertise in software tools such as SKM Power•Tools, ETAP, or EasyPower for power analysis
Strong knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NFPA 70E, and other relevant codes and standards
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Preferred

Experience working in a design-build or integrated project delivery (IPD) environment is a plus
