As the Materials and Process Lead, you will research and develop materials and processes for high-rate production of aircraft structures, collaborating with the structures design team to optimize designs for manufacturability.

Responsibilities

Research, test, and select appropriate material systems and processes for volume production of a large Unmanned Aerial System (UAS)

Validate material properties through simulation and testing

Design processes for structural component fabrication and full-scale assembly

Validate production processes through simulation and testing

Support the structures design team in ensuring designs are optimized for manufacturability

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent experience

7+ years of experience working in a production environment focused on building structures

Proven track record of generating material properties data for composite systems

Hands-on experience with both composite and aluminum structures
