Integration and Test Software Lead
SG2 Recruiting is seeking an Integration and Test Software Lead to support a contract at the Naval Center for Space Technology, which is part of the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory. Responsibilities
Developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements
Providing specific input to the software components of a system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of COTS/GOTS in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components
Designing, implementing, and integrating software applications or performing software engineering tasks
Utilizing software engineering and design methodologies appropriate to the development, integration, and production environment
Ensuring efficient delivery of software engineering capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes
Mitigating risks, controlling costs and schedule variance, and effectively managing large-scale, integrated software projects
Reviewing and testing software components for adherence to the design requirements and documenting test results
Designing, developing, testing, and deploying embedded GSE software
Modifying, enhancing, and creating device-specific interfaces for real-time data collection and GSE control by understanding the internals of the real-time operating systems (RTOS)
Configuring the RTOS-based GSE, the C2 software-based test system, the application-specific interfaces, and the spacecraft hardware unit under test for performance, environmental, and acceptance testing
Designing, developing, and configuring management of automated procedures that are used during integration and testing to use proven and tested sequences during launch and mission operations
Modifying the software source code and automated procedures to replace the GSE interfaces and simulation practices with real-time operational data to create operational procedures
Qualification
Required
Active TS/SCI clearance
Minimum B.Sc., Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or Mathematics
Extensive experience with spacecraft operations and testing
Extensive experience in directing teams of software engineers in the design and development of integration and test systems and procedures
Ability to commute daily to the Naval Research Lab location in Washington, DC
