Corporate Electrical Controls Engineer
Carolina Container is a company that specializes in manufacturing and packaging solutions, and they are seeking a Corporate Electrical Controls Engineer. The role involves providing electrical and controls troubleshooting expertise across multiple production facilities, training maintenance technicians, managing small projects, and maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities
Work with operations and maintenance leaders to provide electrical/controls troubleshooting expertise at eight Carolina Container Production Facilities and four Warehouse locations located in North Carolina, Virginia, and Georgia
Work with/train plant maintenance technicians to improve their electrical/controls knowledge
Coordinate, manage, and implement small projects dealing with machinery upgrades
Procure materials and equipment needed to assist in equipment repair
Build a database containing pertinent information associated with PLCs, Drives, etc. for all locations
Maintain a safe and clean working environment through enforcement of applicable policy and regulations
Conduct Electrical Safety Training for all Maintenance Departments
Overnight travel may be required
Qualification
Required
Three (3) or more years' experience in Electrical Industrial Maintenance
Excellent leadership ability, including an ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics is a must
Must be able to troubleshoot the following: Hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, control circuits, AC and DC drives, PLCs, and power distribution
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think 'outside the box'
Functional use of Microsoft Office and Maintenance Management systems
Demonstrated ability to balance priorities that meet short and long-term objectives; uses organized and efficient work methods
Demonstrated ability to learn and continue to develop knowledge and skills
Preferred
Experience in the Corrugated Industry is preferred
