Responsibilities
Supplier Process Development: Work directly with suppliers to assess, design, and optimize manufacturing processes to meet production requirements and quality standards. Ensure suppliers are capable of scaling production without compromising quality
Supplier Qualification: Lead the supplier qualification process, including auditing manufacturing facilities, production processes, and quality standards, specifications, and timelines. Work with suppliers on PPAP documentation. Conduct PFMEA with suppliers
Root Cause Analysis: Identify issues and implement corrective actions locally with suppliers
Change Management: Manage engineering changes related to suppliers, including changes to materials, components, and manufacturing processes. Ensure all changes are integrated into the supply chain and meet quality standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Physics, or a related field
3+ years of experience in supplier industrialization, supplier quality, or manufacturing engineering, preferably in the consumer electronics, automotive, or industrial sectors
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including injection molding, CNC machining, PCB/PCBA, stamping, and assembly techniques
Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and an understanding of industry standards for product quality and compliance
Project Management - the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines
Communication and Documentation - the ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams and suppliers to drive improvements and resolve issues
