Responsibilities

Perform structural design and detailing of railroad bridge components with guidance from Project Managers and Senior Structural Engineers
Perform tasks on multiple, concurrent projects
Perform additional duties and responsibilities, including field and construction service assignments as needed
Perform bridge analysis, design and detailing based on the AREMA Manual
Familiarity with CADD software, Microsoft Office Software, and structural analysis software
Problem-solving skills necessary to resolve both design and detailing issues
Ability to identify appropriate steps in the bridge design and detailing process, and the initiative to complete the necessary tasks
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, project managers, supervisor, and other team members
Ability to effectively receive and convey ideas and information orally and in writing with co-workers, project managers, supervisor, and other team members

Qualification

Civil Engineering DegreeFundamentals of Engineering ExamEngineering in Training CertificationRailroad Bridge ExperienceCADD Software ProficiencyStructural Analysis SoftwareProblem-Solving SkillsEffective CommunicationTeam Collaboration

Required

Minimum 4 Year Degree
At minimum a BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States
Problem-solving skills necessary to resolve both design and detailing issues
Ability to identify appropriate steps in the bridge design and detailing process, and the initiative to complete the necessary tasks
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, project managers, supervisor, and other team members
Ability to effectively receive and convey ideas and information orally and in writing with co-workers, project managers, supervisor, and other team members

Preferred

Ideal candidates will have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam and in the process of obtaining their Engineering in Training Certification
Railroad bridge experience, or interest in Railroad Bridges is preferred (not required)
Familiarity with CADD software, Microsoft Office Software, and structural analysis software
