Responsibilities

Establish daily, weekly and monthly objectives and communicate them to team members

Prepare the production floor for daily production

Monitor daily production and adjust production based on inventory

Review production set-ups for accuracy and quality requirements

Assist trouble shooting of machines, plc, etc

Support manufacturing including investigation into root cause of manufacturing defects and/or failures and recommendation and implementation of appropriate corrective actions

Train/maintain training of team members in the process

Report issues/problems to immediate supervisor

Conduct periodic audits of the processes

Perform inventories as needed

Provide training to other technicians in various disciplines as needed

May operate various production machines and may use hand tools to assemble products

Train subordinate employees on job skills and Company policies and procedures

Train subordinate employees to follow procedures, methods and sequence of operations in performing daily tasks

Ensure all product, material, parts, and documentation follow Company specifications and quality standards

Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor

Identifies units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repairs as necessary according to process

Actively contribute to ongoing continuous improvement efforts and projects

Communicate constantly with supervisor regarding issues that may come up on the production line

Visually inspects parts to quality standards as described in the quality system

Communicates any problems which arise to the supervisor

Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations

Documents actions by completing production and quality forms

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Required

High School Diploma or GED required

English language skills are required, Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Must have the ability to train personnel on all aspects of the production

Must be proficient in PC usage and MS Office

Basic math skills with general knowledge of how to read a tape measure

Able to stand for at least 8 hours a day

Must be able to use a drill or staple gun

Able to read and understand work orders and requirements

Must be able to pay close attention to detail and stay focused on task at hand

Must be able to read and write and communicate clearly with others

Able to sort product by order numbers and the items per order

Able to lift up to 25+ pounds. May team-lift up 50+ lbs. Work in a safe manner especially when lifting

Must be honest, have a positive attitude, be respectful, dependable, have a good attitude and a proven record of reliability (2+ years at previous jobs). Ability to understand written work direction

Requires 5+ years of general work experience
