Application Engineer, Systems & Solutions
R.E. Mason is a 100% employee-owned company that specializes in process systems and solutions. The Application Engineer role is integral to the sales operations team, requiring excellent communication and technical support to respond to customer inquiries and manage proposals for process control systems.

Responsibilities
Responding to customer inquiries
Preparing customer quotations and proposal documents for process control systems and online vibration monitoring systems. These can include a bill of materials, response to customer specifications, engineering services scope of work and the commercial summary and terms
Reconciling purchase orders against quotations and coordinating proper order hand-off with sales coordinators or project team
Managing proposal development: coordinating across multiple disciplines and driving schedule to meet deadlines. Ensure Sales to Operations (ORB, Ops Review, DOA) process is adhered to
Troubleshooting technical issues with customers
Developing relationships with customer accounts and pursuing/qualifying sales opportunities
Keeping up with new technology and industry trends
Reviewing terms and conditions for contracts/purchase orders
Supporting Emerson led proposal development
Minimal Travel for Customer Site Visits or Training when necessary
Other tasks as assigned
Qualification

Basic knowledge of process control fundamentals
Self-motivated, organized and professional
Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical components
Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) Proficiency
US Citizen
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
1+ years of Sales or Engineering experience required
Four-year bachelor's degree in engineering with computer, electrical or chemical engineering preferred

Previous Inside Sales experience
