Imaging Technologist I or II, Multi-Modal CT & X-Ray (Angleton, Fri-Sun 7a - 7p)
UTMB Health is a healthcare provider seeking Imaging Technologists I and II to deliver quality imaging and patient care across multiple modalities. The role involves performing imaging procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist, ensuring patient understanding and care while obtaining diagnostic images.

Responsibilities
Provides quality imaging and patient care within two (2) medical imaging modalities in any combination of which MRI, CT, Mammography, or X-ray are the primary modality
Performs imaging procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients in a clinic or hospital setting as requested by the ordering physician or other licensed provider
The procedures are performed under general supervision of a Radiologist for the diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols
Effectively explains the procedure to the patient and ensures they are competent in the procedure being performed
Provides care to the patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist
Meets all of the qualifications and requirements for the modalities in which they are certified and works a minimum of 40% of the time in the second modality
May require flex shifts and support at different UTMB Campuses
Qualification
Required
Associates of Applied Science OR Graduate of an accredited Radiology program
Enrolled in or have completed second Imaging Modality program
Certification from one of the following credentialing organizations: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - (ARRT)(R), American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RVT-VT), Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
Registration as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT-GC) through the Texas Medical Board, if applicable
Registry in a second modality must be completed within 18 months of hire or transfer date
American Heart Association BLS
High School Diploma or GED
Three (3) Years' Experience in the Primary Imaging Modality
One (1) Year Experience in the Secondary Imaging Modality
Two (2) Certifications from one or more of the following credentialing organizations: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Vascular Technologist (RVT-VT), Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
Registration as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT-GC) through the Texas Medical Board, if applicable
American Heart Association BLS
Preferred
Six months of Experience in the Primary Imaging Modality
Three or more months of experience in Secondary Imaging Modality
Associate's Degree - Strongly Preferred
Experience and/or Registry in Computed Tomography (CT)
