Assistant Sales Manager
Malabar Gold & Diamonds is a leading jewelry retailer, and they are seeking an Assistant Sales Manager to oversee stock management and sales operations. The role involves monitoring stock levels, managing cash transactions, and ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures while supporting the marketing team and enhancing customer relations.

Responsibilities
Monitor the stock in the section and place stock order in OMS to maintain adequate stock for sales
Report the sold sock in the section for reordering to the sales manager for timely stock replenishment
Count and maintain the account of stock daily by managing the record of the opening stock and closing stock in the section allocated
Ensure stock filled in the store-based sales and as per ideal sales of the market
Check requirement from staff in each section, based on customer enquiry ordering new products to the stock
Monitor the dead stock and liaison with the store manager to minimise the same
Liaising with Sales Heads and Supply chain for new stock order and approvals
Thorough Knowledge on product manufacturing and its suppliers with keen idea of product purchase expense and selling prices
Verification of cash transaction entries in Microsoft AX and its documentation
Checking cash balance every day before opening and verifying balance on Closing of the store based on the sales achieved
Tracking of petty cash transactions and recording
Recording of credit card and Cash transactions on daily basis
Prepare the estimate of the products selected and completing the sales transaction
Responsible for proper and attractive display of the products at the appropriate counter free from dust and dirt daily
Transfer the stock to the locker at the close of the day; maintain safety of jewellery displayed to customers and communicate promptly to the superiors about any potential theft
Understand the queries and complaints from the customer and address with right solution
Provide support to the marketing team for potential customer visits and exhibitions
Identify potential customers and referring them to the store
Adhere to cost saving practices undertaken in the store
Develop and maintain relationship and network with competitors to leverage leading practices & learning to improve store level processes
Ensure that all activities are carried out as per the standard operating procedures (SOPs) in the section
Achieve cost savings through implementation of process improvement initiatives
Ensure adherence to all departmental processes, policies, procedures and standards such as regulatory guidelines on accounting and internal policies
Review and provide regular and ad-hoc reports to management and other stakeholders as required
Drive a performance driven culture in the team by timely monitoring, review of performance parameters and feedback to the team members
Contribute towards development of talent for the department by providing subordinates with adequate exposure and growth opportunities
Actively participate in HR initiatives to drive overall engagement and motivation
