Work Control Planner 4

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Work Control Planner 4 opportunity to support the Los Alamos National Laboratory. The Work Control Planner 4 will be responsible for developing and reviewing work packages for preventative and corrective maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety and testing requirements, and resolving work restraints.

Responsibilities

Develop and/or review work packages, including time, material, and labor estimates, written step-by-step work instructions, procedures, and/or safety and testing requirements for the implementation and control of operations, maintenance, or modification of work activities within a given facility or area
Specific planning duties may be related to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and/or radiological equipment, policies, and procedures, and may also include resolving work restraints and bringing work packages to final closure

Required

Bachelor's Degree and 12 years of related experience; or, over 20 years of direct experience without a degree
Building systems expertise in boilers, HVACs (both JP), Facility system/Facility support system
Maintenance/or construction background (facility maintenance)
Procedure writing and development experience
Work Control background (in manager or planner roles)
Citizenship: United States Citizenship is required
Work Location: Onsite – 100%: TA 16-969
Schedule: 4/10s
Clearance: Q-clearance or the ability to obtain
Physical Requirements: Outdoor walk-throughs
Physical Requirements: Climbing fixed ladders

Preferred

Certified Facility Manager is a plus
PPA certification (Policy Procedure Writer) is desired
DOE experience is a plus
Experience with the following procedure writing software is a plus: Maximo Asset, Hitachi programs
