Responsibilities
You’ll assist on construction projects
You’ll provide inspection for various construction projects, and assist with maintaining project documentation, including calculations, daily reports, project filing, etc
You’ll work under a Lead Engineer
You’ll perform work involving the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria under supervision
Limited exercise of judgment is required on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives
You’ll connect with people

You’ll interface directly with clients, consultants, subconsultants, and contractors

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management
Zero to five years of construction experience
Familiarity with IDOT procedures
Current IDOT Documentation of Contract Quantities certification
Understanding of construction inspection practices
Strong organization and communication skills
Proficient with business and engineering applications such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Preferred
