Represent clients in administrative hearings and enforcement actions before the Texas Medical Board, Texas Board of Nursing and Texas Department of Insurance
Defend against recoupment actions initiated by Novitas, Qlarant and CMS
Provide strategic counsel on healthcare regulations and administrative procedures
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Licensed to practice law in Texas
Minimum of 5 years of administrative law experience, preferably in healthcare
Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of professionalism
Deep understanding of Medicare/Medicaid regulations and reimbursement systems
Experience with audits, investigations, and compliance matters
Ability to manage a challenging workload in a fast-paced environment
Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills
Preferred
Former experience with the U.S. Department of Justice is highly desirable
