Neuro Interventional Radiologic Technologist I

They are seeking a Neuro Interventional Radiologic Technologist I who will be responsible for setting up interventional radiology rooms, ensuring patient care, and maintaining accurate patient records during procedures.

Responsibilities
Responsible for setting up interventional radiology (IR) rooms specific to the study being conducted
Utilizes customer service skills while interacting with patients as well as family members to create a caring atmosphere during their visit
Prepares room and patient specific to the exam to be performed
Arranges equipment, trays, supplies, position patients, and determine proper exposure factors in order to produce a high-quality image
Utilizes electronic patient information systems to verify patient name, date, appropriate exam, and any special exam specific comments from the provider
Understands and practices the Dual patient identifier procedure
Observes each patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to meet his or her age-specific needs
Transfers patients to and from imaging tables using assistive devices such as ARJO lift, transfer boards, hover mats
Scrubs with physicians as required
Maintains accurate patient record keeping by properly identifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly
Completes and bills for studies accurately
Qualification
Required
Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
Maintains current NYS licensure and ARRT certification with CE credits as required
Preferred
One-year experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred
