Research Scientist I, Pathology Research

Responsibilities
Evaluate, select, and apply standard scientific techniques and procedures while using judgment when necessary to adapt standard methods and techniques
Obtain and maintain all necessary federal and institutional permits required for work with select agents
Actively support the PI in conducting experimental work, analyzing data, and assisting with report and manuscript writing for various research projects
Perform animal studies and cell culture work
Provide assistance to students when requested by the PI and train new laboratory members as needed
Ensure adherence to laboratory protocols and safety standards
Qualification
Required
Ph. D, M.D, D.O., or D.V.M in related field and no experience required
