This role supports the firm’s water, wastewater, and stormwater groups with various design and construction tasks while providing valuable on-the-job experience.
Consulting
Responsibilities
Assisting senior engineers with the evaluation, study and design of water and wastewater pipelines and pumping stations
Work with a variety of clients including municipal and county to complete roadway, stormwater, underground utility, and infrastructure improvements
Field work, studies and design of water and wastewater system rehabilitation
Water and wastewater systems hydraulic modeling computation and analysis
Work independently on a variety of tasks including CAD, Drainage Design, Quantity Computation, Traffic Analysis, and Data Collection
Qualification
Required
Ongoing pursuit of a 4-year degree in Civil Engineering
Maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0/4.0
Available to start May 2026
Ability to travel throughout Baxter & Woodman service area (own transportation)
Ability to work in a team environment on a variety of projects
Strong verbal, computer, organizational, and writing skills
Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Preferred
Emphasis in Environmental Engineering preferred
