Vice President – Northeast Complex Casualty Broker

HUB International is the 6th largest global insurance and employee benefits broker, and they are seeking a Vice President to join their Marketing team in the Northeast division. The VP will be responsible for marketing and placing new and renewal business while developing relationships with carriers and wholesalers, and training employees within the Marketing Department.

Responsibilities

Market and place new and renewal business as assigned by the Chief Marketing Officer, NOE Complex Casualty Practice Leader or Regional Marketing Officer
Work with producers to identify new business opportunities outside of standard broking such as collateral alternatives, loss control services, TPA marketing and claims closure projects
Develop standard specifications, loss summaries, TCOR and cash flow exhibits including developing casualty content for RFPs
Provide analytical support for the region to gauge both viability of loss sensitive as well as validate first dollar pricing, using both desktop software (Risk 66) and HUB’s analytics practice
Act as liaison between service teams and HUB’s captive practice
Support account executives and producers by designing marketing and implementation of primary and excess casualty programs for existing and new business for the following types of businesses: real estate, retail, hospitality, social services, construction and financial institutions
Develop and maintain relationships with various carriers and wholesalers with which Hub International Northeast currently or intends to do business, particularly in complex casualty
Assist with client facing meetings where required
Be involved, at the direction of the Chief Marketing Officer or Complex Casualty Practice Leader, in the training and development of employees within the Marketing Department

Required

5 - 10 years of relevant experience
Ability to analyze loss data to develop loss picks, development factors, and create Total Cost of Risk (TCOR) exhibits across all casualty lines
P&C Licenses required and must be in good standing
Bachelor's degree (4-year degree)
Candidate will be well versed in sales, marketing training and development, with excellent verbal and written communications
Should also have at least 5 or more relevant experience and if you have worked with an active CRM system before that is a plus
Working with Microsoft Office products is a daily occurrence and strong knowledge in these applications will help
Candidate should also be prepared to learn various industry applications including but not limited to running TCORs and Loss Picks
Candidate will have a working knowledge of General Liability, Automobile, Worker's Compensation and Umbrella coverages
Required Travel: Negligible

Preferred

Any working knowledge of the London/Bermuda marketplace is a desired value add
