Responsibilities

Completes the project scope and requirements with the client and other stakeholders and communicates project scope and requirements to the project team
Prepares and implements a proactive Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) plan for projects
Oversees the profitability of the project by negotiating fees and contracts as may be appropriate, participating in the budgeting process, and ensuring that invoices are accurate and delivered in a timely manner
Identifies, negotiates, and administers fees for additional services
Schedules work, communicates schedule information to the project team, and monitors manpower requirements
Facilitates communication between the client and the project team; documents important issues
Coordinates activities of the project team and contractors during the design and construction phases
Works with the client to understand schedule expectations and, with team input, proposes interim milestones to the schedule for proper information flow, adjusting as necessary throughout the project
Performs and directs detailed roof condition assessments and corresponding reporting
Manages the design, bidding, construction administration, and closeout for roofing specific projects
Performs or directs others to perform project job site visits to investigate field conditions, monitor progress, and ensure conformance to design specifications, owner expectations, and building codes during construction
Coordinates with other disciplines to determine equipment needs, implement operating procedures, and provide technical information
Monitors accounts receivables on projects and initiates corrective action as needed
Supervises the job close out process to ensure documentation, lessons learned, and filings are complete
May participate in planning and budgeting processes, which include preparing monthly billing projections and budget metrics as required by management
May assist management in the training and mentoring of less experienced colleagues within the Enclosure group
Assists Cx Project Managers with roofing specific tasks on Building Enclosure projects

Required

Technical or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field and five years related project experience
Ten years related project experience
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) software
Knowledge of project approach and systems design
Knowledge of the roofing discipline
Knowledge of building codes and regulations
Knowledge of construction procurement and design development processes
Knowledge of SSR invoicing process and development/update of revenue projects
General knowledge of accounting and how to create and maintain budgets
Ability to understand information, ideas, and direction presented in writing and/or verbally communicated
Ability to clearly deliver a message through written words using correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation
Ability to speak clearly and in a common language so that others can understand you
Ability to achieve accuracy and thoroughness when accomplishing a task; pays attention to details and is able to understand the cause of a certain outcome
Ability to make reasoned judgments that are logical and well thought out; constructively questioning and analyzing information in order to make the best conclusion
Skilled in the area of summarizing or explaining technical information in a clear, concise, and accurate way, communicating the point intended
Effective in a variety of presentation settings both inside and outside the organization; commands attention and can manage group processes during the presentation; can change tactics midstream when something isn't working
Ability to create, maintain, and strengthen authentic relationships with clients
Can marshal resources (people, funding, material, support, etc.) to get things done; can orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish goals; uses resources effectively and efficiently; arranges information and files in a useful manner
Practices attentive listening with the patience to hear people out; can accurately restate the opinions of others even when they disagree
