Cybersecurity Awareness Volunteer
CyberUp is looking for enthusiastic technology professionals to help ignite the curiosity of youth in the community and create informed digital citizens. Volunteers will teach topics such as digital citizenship, media literacy, and cybercrime using provided lesson plans and materials.

Responsibilities
Participate in-person at local schools (volunteers must be located in the St. Louis area)
Complete a school district–mandated background check ($25 fee)
Attend a virtual orientation with CyberUp, where we’ll walk you through activities and share best practices
Use our ready-to-go lesson plans and materials to teach cybersecurity in a fun, age-appropriate way
Model professionalism and encourage positive engagement in every classroom visit
Qualification
Required
Passion for working with youth and sparking curiosity about technology and cybersecurity
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple, age-appropriate terms
Reliability and punctuality to ensure consistency for students and schools
Positive attitude, patience, and flexibility when working in classroom environments
Team player who can collaborate with teachers, CyberUp staff, and fellow volunteers
Basic familiarity with technology and internet safety concepts (training will be provided)
Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all students
