Responsibilities
Serve as a 10,000 Small Businesses Associate Program Officer across specific program locations
Develop and manage relationships with community colleges, local partners, and local stakeholders, including as part of the program’s Investment in Rural Communities expansion
Work with Babson College to provide oversight of local and statewide programs
Work with the community college and Initiative for a Competitive Inner City to oversee the application and selection process
Oversee, manage, and execute grants for assigned program locations
Manage engagement of GS employees in local programming
Track monitoring and evaluation across local programs
Oversee maintenance of 10KSB work plans, budgets, calendar and other organizational spreadsheets and documents
Coordinate with 10,000 Small Businesses Voices team across alumni engagement initiatives and alumni communication
Facilitate development and implementation of local alumni programming
Represent the firm and program at events and conferences across the United States; serve as an 'ambassador' of the firm and program
Lead, develop, support and execute national thought leadership events and stakeholder engagement opportunities across local markets
Project manage cross-program operating tools such as Salesforce, digital alumni hub, and the grants management process
Coordinate with Babson College, internal brand and media teams and consultants to analyze program impact data and publish reports that highlight program impact and elevate alumni stories
Functionally, serve as a point of contact for internal and external partnerships related to program innovations, particularly with respect to:
Ensuring buy-in and effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
Effectively communicating program to potential new local partners
Helping to implement and track success of programming in new markets and training new local partners in the program’s process
Managing and executing working groups on various special projects that include GS colleagues and 10KSB partners
Develop and share 10KSB best practices that can be applied across sites and to the national program
Create presentations, talking points, briefing materials, and strategy documents for various meetings and events, ensuring incorporation of group feedback and quick turnaround of final product
Qualification
Required
At least 5-8 years' experience in operations and business management
Highest degree of integrity, professionalism, diplomacy and discretion
Proven tactical execution experience including strategy development, operations, and budget analysis
Ability to quickly learn and apply grants management best practices
Proven project management skills, with excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, and complete attention to detail
Experience managing partnerships and relationships across multiple organizations and geographies
Team player, and skilled at managing internal and external teams and junior staff on a given project
Keen problem solver with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills in person, on phone, and by email and voicemail
Flexible and willing to work extended hours and travel when required
Self-motivated with ability to work independently as well as in team
Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel and Word for presentations and data analysis
Preferred
Proven experience managing high-level relationships, across all sectors
