The role involves managing various aspects of transmission line projects including design, coordination, and mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities
Develop and approve PLS-CADD criteria for transmission projects
Finalize PLS-CADD models and designs
Plan and schedule project tasks for support teams
Attend client stakeholder and design review meetings
Mentor and train junior engineering team members
Provide technical input on special design questions
Participate in internal engineering and design review sessions
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree in Engineering (required)
Professional Engineer (PE) certification (required)
Minimum of 8 years of transmission line engineering experience in the electric utility industry (required)
Proficient in using PLS-CADD for transmission line design (required)
Strong knowledge of design codes and standards such as NESC, IEEE, ASCE, and ACI
Experience coordinating with substation, environmental, right-of-way, construction, and maintenance stakeholders
Proven ability to apply engineering theories and principles effectively
Skilled in researching engineering issues, evaluating alternatives, and preparing recommendations
Commitment to working safely and adhering to all safety regulations
Self-motivated and capable of thriving in an unstructured, deadline-driven environment
Excellent collaboration skills, able to work effectively with team members and peers in the industry
Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
Must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and maintain a satisfactory driving record per company policy
