Responsibilities
Ensuring the statistical rigor and validity of our products
Developing new techniques to bring value to our users
Advocating for technically-sophisticated personas in our product development process
Raising the bar for data-driven decision making within our products
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, and product teams
Conduct research to inform feature design, ensuring statistical and performance requirements are met
Provide reference implementations and technical guidance; contribute to production code as needed
Support product planning by sizing, scoping, and offering technical input on design discussions
Drive data accessibility by defining team metrics, optimizing queries, and improving processes and tooling to enable data-driven decisions
Qualification
Required
3+ years in industry
Masters or PhD in Statistics or a related field, or 3+ years experience specifically in online experimentation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to clearly articulate technical ideas and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences
A pragmatic and iterative approach to engineering that emphasizes incremental progress and continuous delivery
