Responsibilities

Design and develop RF and high-speed electronics for sensing, communication, and other equipment

Generate detailed hardware specifications, schematics, and PCB layouts for advanced hardware boards

Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system and subsystem specifications, test plans and procedures, and design and analysis reports

Determine layer stack up, component selection and placement, and routing of analog, digital, RF, and/or high-power signals

Conduct feasibility studies, analysis, and simulation for new hardware designs, ensuring compliance with military standards and requirements

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, mechanical engineers, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions

Perform prototype testing, troubleshooting, and validation of circuit boards

Maintain component and design libraries

Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and innovations

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field

10+ years of professional experience

Proficiency in relevant tools and software for schematic capture, PCB layout, and simulation (e.g., Altium [preferred], Cadence, Microwave Office, CST Microwave Studio, HFSS, SPICE, etc)

Fundamental understanding of electrical circuits

Strong understanding of RF components and RF circuit design

Familiarity with military standards and specifications related to hardware design

Ability to balance priorities among multiple tasks and projects

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Effective communication and collaboration skills
