Tool & Die Journeyperson
Greenheck Group is a global leader in air movement and ventilation, known for its innovative and environmentally responsible manufacturing. The Tool and Die Journeyperson will be responsible for producing parts from engineering prints and maintaining tools and dies, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and working effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
Experience in the operation of CNC and manual Lathes, Milling machines, Grinders, and general tool room equipment
Must be able to utilize precision measuring tools
Fits and assembles jigs, fixtures, tools, and dies. Sets up, runs off, and tests tools and dies to produce a product to specification
Troubleshoots and repairs machinery and die sets
Reads and interprets blueprints or works from verbal or written instructions or from the part to be copied or fitted
Familiar with Sheet Metal Fabrication and manufacturing processes is a plus
Safety - Comply with all company and federal safety rules, policies, and procedures to include wearing required safety equipment (PPE). Respond to safety concerns and taking appropriate action
Be able to perform in a team environment and also be self-directed as situations dictate
Computer - Must be proficient with a computer and have good communication skills. Proven working knowledge of CAD software is required
Welding experience is a plus
This position involves working at various positions in the shop and working any shift
Operate a crane
Be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
Qualification
Required
Lift up to 50 pounds frequently during an 8-hour work shift
Bend, stoop, push, and pull in a busy work environment for up to an 8-hour work shift
Climb a ladder and/ or scaffolding frequently during an 8-hour work shift
Stand for up to an 8-hour work shift
Grip, manipulate, and hold small parts with fingers
Hear different types of sound/decibels/tone such as alarms, sirens, and/or mechanical equipment
See without visual impairments (depth, peripheral, color and acuity 20/40 or better)

0 to 5 years of work experience preferred
State of Wisconsin Journeyperson card preferred
